Cycle of Life has secured a new van through Better Youth Spaces (BYS) funding, marking an important step in strengthening the organisation’s infrastructure during a period of sustained growth.
The new assets significantly improve operational efficiency across programmes. The van enables the safe transport of bikes and equipment, supports wider outreach delivery, and improves coordination between staff, partners and community sites across Liverpool. The cargo bikes also open new opportunities for enterprise-based learning, allowing young people to develop practical business ideas through initiatives such as the OnTheGo project, where cargo bikes have previously been used to launch small ventures including mobile ice-cream sales.
Strategic infrastructure investment is essential to sustainable scaling. As programme reach and community engagement continue to expand, operational capacity must evolve alongside delivery. This investment ensures Cycle of Life is not only growing in activity, but strengthening the systems required to sustain long-term impact.
