Bikeability is the Department for Transport’s national cycling programme, aimed at training children on how to ride a bike safely. Cycle of Life Community Services offers these Bikeability courses, with our own qualified cycling instructors, in Liverpool to help children ride safely and confidently on our roads. These courses take the form of weekly sessions up to 1-2 hours, at the end of which you receive a nationally recognised certification.

Our main objectives are to teach children cycling as a new skill, giving them the opportunity to socialise and become more confident cycling in different types of situations for example, on busy roads, junctions, roundabouts, cycle paths etc. Our other aims include encouraging children to adopt cycling as part of a healthier lifestyle and to use cycling to combat negative impacts on the environment that other modes of transport can cause.

This course is designed for children of all backgrounds who wish to be more confident in all aspects of riding their bike. Please get in touch with us if you have any queries or are interested in the project. Our contact details can be found on the menu, under “Contact us”.
