During the winter and summer breaks, we hold Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) programmes where we offer activities across a range of venues in Liverpool, such as trips to the beach, cycling sessions, swimming, archery, football, ice skating, indoor climbing and much more! We make sure to give the children nutritious meals as well throughout the day, encouraging healthier eating.

Our main aims with the HAF programmes we run are to:

  • Encourage children to eat more healthily over the school holidays.
  • To be more active and confident with cycling and physical activities.
  • To take part in engaging and enriching activities where they step out of their comfort zone.
  • To encourage teamwork, friendship and positive social interaction.

We also aim to make sure children are safe and not socially isolated, to educate them on healthy eating so they have knowledge of what it looks like, and finally, we aim to make sure that children are more engaged with school and other local services.

We primarily aim to support children and young people who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals and children with SEND or additional needs. However, places are available for other children too. Please get in touch with us if you have any queries or are interested in the project. Our contact details can be found on the menu, under “Contact us”.
