Alternate Provision
Cycle of Life’s Alternate Provision Program is a Vocational Program for At-Risk Students Aged 13-16
Cycle of Life are currently registering their provision to provide an impactful program designed to re-engage at risk pupils aged 13-16 back into education. Delivering a successful vocational curriculum covering cycle mechanics, key skills, functional skills and enterprise the course will inspire students to make informed decisions for their future and ensure they reach positive destinations post-16.

Bikeability is the Department for Transport’s flagship national cycle training programme for schoolchildren in England,
HAF
Our Haf holiday provision is for school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals. Benefits-related free school meals (FSM) are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits, and have a claim verified by their school or local authority.
We work closely with MPAC: HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Programme – Merseyside Play Action Council (merseyplay.com) to provide children who attend this provision opportunities to:
- be active during the school holidays
- eat healthy over school holidays
- take part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment
- be safe and not to be socially isolated
- have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition
- be more engaged with school and other local services
We also want to ensure that the families who participate in this programme:
- develop their understanding of nutrition and food budgeting
- are signposted towards other information and support, for example, health, employment, and education
Pump track and cycle sports club
The Clean Brake project is designed to equip young people (aged 13-19 years) with the skills to make journeys on road and off road.
Development of a community pump track aimed at uniting communities and bringing young people together and introducing them to the sport of cycling The pump track will be suitable for BMXing and mountain biking. Groups will be taught how to master the challenges of the track and Cycle of Life will provide bikes/helmets and protective clothing if required.
